From South - Martinsville Area: Take 220 North towards Roanoke. Take Route 40 at the Rocky Mount exit towards Gretna. Follow Route 40 approximately 25 miles until you see Piney Road (there will be several churches listed on a white sign on the right side of the road). Turn right on Piney Road - follow this road until you come into Climax Virginia. You will see the Climax Mini-Mart on your right side. Take a hard left onto Anderson Mill Road. Follow Anderson Mill Road approximately .80 miles. The Byrd Nest Retreat is on the right side - you will see our sign at the entrance.

From North on I-81; Roanoke Area or Blue Ridge Parkway (MP 121 Exit): Take Route 220 south towards Rocky Mount/Martinsville - travel through Boone's Mill (45 mph enforced - be careful) continuing on 220. Take Route 40 at the Rocky Mount exit towards Gretna. Follow Route 40 approximately 25 miles until you see Piney Road (there will be several churches listed on a white sign on the right side of the road). Turn right on Piney Road - follow this road until you come into Climax Virginia. You will see the Climax Mini-Mart on your right side. Take a hard left onto Anderson Mill Road. Follow Anderson Mill Road approximately .80 miles. The Byrd Nest Retreat is on the right side - you will see our sign at the entrance.
