The Byrd Nest Retreat

Welcome to The Byrd Nest Retreat located in south central Virginia. Our retreat is within a short drive to Roanoke, Danville, Lynchburg, Boones Mill, and Smith Mountain Lake where you can enjoy shopping, fine dining, theaters, museums and a wide variety of entertainment.

The Byrd Nest Retreat is centrally located to enjoy various school functions at Ferrum College, Roanoke College, Averett University, Liberty University, Hargrave Military Academy and Chatham Hall.

If you are a race fan, we are a short drive to the race tracks at VIR (Virginia International Raceway), South Boston Speedway, Martinsville Speedway and many local mud bog events.

Do you love to hike - we are within 30 minutes of the Blue Ridge Parkway. Enjoy the spectacular views from the retreat as well as the Parkway.

Rejuvenate yourself on the front porch to the sounds of birds singing and crickets humming - watch wildlife wander by - take a walk through the woods or relax by our private pond.
